Always have a solid meal with this place, burgers and dogs are great. Worth a visit for a quick bite!

From my first visit 11 years ago until now, I have never been disappointed. Fresh burgers, fresh ingredients, tasty specials, reasonable prices. My only complaint? The local off-brand cola tastes like root beer.

I would had never discovered GoldBurgers if it wasn't for Yelp. I was searching for food options in the Newington area and had booked marked GoldBurgers to give them a try one day. I was intrigued that a lot of their food was made from scratch--even their veggie burgers! Now, since I'm a vegetarian, I would need to bring a meat lover a long to taste test the burgers. I was with my mother on the Berlin Turnpike and she asked where we should go for lunch... And I said "I think I know a place you would like." I remembered GoldBurgers which wasn't too far of a drive. They are on Main Street (a new area of Newington for me), with some front street parking and a large parking lot in the back for all other businesses and restaurants. GoldBurgers had a lot of uniquely topped burgers as well as beef, chicken, or sausage burger patties. They also had hot dogs that were interestingly dressed, like a Chicago dog and a Coney dog to name a few. And if your main wasn't loaded enough, they had loaded fries! My mom couldn't resist the Southern Hospitality burger; beef burger topped with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, southern bbq sauce, and potato chips. She absolutely loved it and likely the best burger she has had. What made the burger for her was the dark, grilled tasted on the outside, plus the toppings were an awesome combo. Obviously, I was here for the Veggie Burger and ordered it as is with lettuce and tomato. They did a great job, simply put. The patty was a blend of chickpeas and black beans, seasoned nicely, stayed intact, and wasn't dry. I also was a fan of the sesame seed buns. I think next time I'll added a slice of cheese. We shared a large Tso-ly Loaded waffle fries. These were sweet and spicy, tossed in ginger soy sauce, pickled carrots, crunchy fried broccoli, drizzle of chipotle mayo, and sesame seeds. I will admit the prices are a little high for a single burger ( ~$10), but take in account that the food is fresh, house made, and ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible. Also, they are a fast/causal restaurant too and not taking shortcuts. The staff were extremely nice too. The lady that helped us was a hoot while explaining the menu items. She also brought us our meals to the table we were patiently waiting and even checked up on us. From the outside, GoldBurgers looked like a small burger point, but the place runs deep with a good amount of seating. I preferred the seats near the front windows looking out towards Main Street. The walls are brightly painted, orange/red and yellow. GoldBurgers was a fine discovery. If you love burgers you should give them a try. If you are looking for a Veggie Burger, DEFINITELY give them a try! It's great that both meat eaters and vegetarians can enjoy.

Really good burger joint with burgers, sliders, dogs, fries, and rings, all solid to excellent. Burger: Went with the Honey BBQ, hold the honey and BBQ, because the rest of the toppings--bacon, American, and onions--were my go-to items. Double patties, cooked to medium rare by default, but not sacrificing any juiciness. Service had decent crusting. Good flavor to the meat, which was a noticeably higher grade than what you get at most places. Bacon wasn't thick, but it was tasty. The seeded roll (probably Big Marty) was fresh. Very solid execution. Fries: Wow. Wow wow wow. I thought I was being brilliant by ordering a kids veggie burger on the side, mostly because it would get me the fries in a smaller amount, but with a veggie burger to try too. These fries were absolutely perfect in every aspect, from the skin on to the crispness of the outside to the give on the inside. Perfect salting, perfect texture. I wish I had a whole order. Veggie Burger: My wife is vegetarian so I was doing some scouting, getting the kid size. Black bean and chickpea patty, a little mushy like most, but surprisingly tasty. Onion Rings: Good if you like the thick kind with a near corn dog batter. Definitely crispy. Frizzies: These are very thin, very crisp onion strings that come in some of the burgers, but if you know to ask for them, you can get them as a side. So we got those too, and they were very good. New England Dog: Solid rendition, split, mild, with mild chili on a potato bun. No complaints, but I think I'd get a second burger over getting a burger and a dog. Quick service. Small space. More parking in the back than out front. A place worth returning to for sure.

Great local joint!! Totally a dive - but amazing food. Staff was friendly and attentive. Not the most comfortable seating, but it was a gorgeous day outside and they had cute sidewalk tables and chairs. But there are minimal tables and chairs inside as well. Overall a great affordable delicious hotdog and burger joint. The hotdog (forgot to take a picture) was probably the best hotdog I have had in a while. Well done!!

A burger dive staple. Good, fresh, reasonably priced, and big This use to be a go-to spot for me for a burger on the trek home. The place hasn't changed much, but the quality has stayed as well. This resent outing, got a steakhous, Hrt, and the tso-ly loaded fries. Food came out quick, and we dove in. Just as good as my memories, seasoned patties nice and thick, juicy and topped with tons of mushrooms, cheese, and frizzles. The fries hand cut and perfectly fried. The loaded fries had these fried broccoli pieces which were surprisingly tender and the tops were very crispy. The jar dog was a very high quality dog, split and grilled with a nice grilled bun and ample amounts of pickled toppings. The Mac and cheese square was not great, not enough cheese. But we were easily full after the rest of the food. This place is not much of a looker. But the food is really good, the price is reasonable for the quality, and the staff are nice. If you get a chance to come here, then please do. It's worth the trek

This is such a hidden gem for the area. The parking on the outside is a bit atrocious, but once you get around that, you're looking at possibly one of the best burgers you've ever had in your life. The burger I had included a soft and tasty seeded bun, a delicious beef patty, a fried mac and cheese patty, and a delicious take on their mac-sauce. The restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming and very patient as we read the menu, which didn't make ordering easy as they had sooooo many delicious sounding options (obviously a good problem to have). The restaurant was quite small, but quant and had both indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend anyone who's in the area, whether traveling or living there, to try out this delicious burger joint.

I sat on my review for a bit and let the delicious juices stew inside me. GoldBurgers is a local store with a devout local following, and more importantly, mac patties! The rundown: A long, narrow, well kept place, not a lot of inside seating but the 3 of us grabbed a table and were served as the food was ready. Friendly service but basically walk up and order your dish. Feel free to add anything you want to your burger! Extremely customizable. I went with the Megalopolis special, featuring a house made sausage patty, and added the mac patty because mac patty. As I looked at my friends' dishes, the onion rings are small and densely breaded - not my style. The fries looked a little greasy but I tried one and it was cooked and salted to perfection. Not greasy, some skin on - 5 stars for that. My burger? The chorizo chili was a nice add. The jalapeno came through, the queso was fresh like it ought to be (not a lot of flavor, but that's queso). All in all, a strong 4 stars. I like that their beef burgers are ground fresh daily (at least in 2012, hopefully still). Next time I'm up this way I'll stop in and try building my own burger from scratch. See where that goes and if star number 5 arrives!

Where do I begin Family? Goldburgers deserves every single star for they go out of their way from the moment you step foot in the door to make you feel at home. The menu board is POW, right smack in your face flooded with options and for a first timer there, it could possibly be overwhelming to decide on just a few items but they are right there to hold your hungry hand and walk you through their wonderland of foodie options. Now I went in a few directions.... Let us begin with the Mac Squares that are made to attack your tastebuds in a way to bring creamy delight with an orchestra of cheese and a sweet symphony of seasoning on the fried breaded goodness that the macaroni is encased in. A single bite and your eyes widen with glee. You are nothing short of happy as you continue to chew your way through this playground of flavors that are meant for the masses. My Fat Attack did not stop there folks.... I also had their 50/50 which consists of half sweet potato fries (as my choice) and half Super Sized Onion Rings that had all types of crispiness to their own bite. Now the fries were good....Nice light Sweet and Salty vibe, they. kept you going back for more but these onion rings were made for the Champion in you! Large and in charge, crispy with a nice snap on the onions. It the batter for me that wasn't greasy but inviting. The Tso-ly Loaded Waffle fries, hit a homer and sent the rest of my appetizers to home plate and we all started to cheer within my mouth. What better way to bring about a wild and savory bite than to have some Ginger Soy coming in tangy and Chipotle Mayo barking up the right tree in way of packing a nice creamy yet spicy punch in my mouth over the crisp on that fried broccoli - TALK TO ME BABY and love me the way you do!!! I just worked you all the way up to their POT ROAST SANDWICH!! Yikes!! The easiest way to break this one down is to say, scoop your pot roast from your bowl and then slap that tasty monstrosity between two fresh buns of soft haven fun and now take a BITE!! Tender Beef, Onions with the Gravy Dripping and as you chew, a single tear drops from your eye for you've just experienced something amazing. Your soul thanks you on this one. Goldburgers, I WILL BE BACK BABY!!!

So GoldBurgers might not look like much, but the burgers are seriously amazing! I recently went and got the Bacon Jam Burger, which consists of a single beef patty, bacon jam, cheddar cheese, fries (on the burger), and chipotle sauce. I skipped the chipotle because I'm not a fan of anything spicy, but the burger was DELICIOUS! I also ordered a side of fries, and they were AMAZING. I can't even really describe why, they just tasted so good! I can't wait to go back and try some of their other burgers. The staff were friendly and my food came out within just a few minutes. Not much to say about ambiance- it's your standard burger joint. It's pretty spacious inside with a good amount of tables to eat at. Overall 10/10 would recommend!
